What is an Acoustic Chamber?
An acoustic chamber (sometimes referred to as a soundproof chamber or sound testing room) is a specialized, isolated enclosure engineered to test the acoustic properties of products, components, or materials without external sound interference. Depending on your precise testing protocols, we offer two primary configurations.
Anechoic Chambers
Anechoic chambers are acoustical enclosures where the walls, floor, and ceiling provide up to 100% absorption of the incident sound energy, making the internal environment virtually echo-free. These rooms are constructed with a noise control outer shell made from our modular panels or masonry walls, and interior surfaces lined with anechoic wedges.
Reverberation Rooms
Reverberation rooms are the exact opposite of anechoic chambers. They are designed to reflect rather than absorb sound energy. These chambers create a highly reverberant acoustic environment while maintaining excellent sound isolation from any external ambient noise.
